Mission Statement

The New York State Pyrotechnic Coalition (NYSPC) has been formed by the NYS pyrotechnics industry and affiliated persons to represent pyrotechnic display businesses, licensed users and interested individuals at the state level. Currently, the mission of the NYSPC consists of several important and urgent objectives:

  1. To monitor and inform our members of impending New York State legislation affecting our industry.
  2. To engage in proactive dialogue and work to advance the interests of the New York Pyrotechnics industry and licensed individuals in constructive partnership with state regulatory agencies including the NYS Departments of Labor and Homeland Security.
  3. To introduce and lobby as necessary for revision of, or for the passage of alternative legislation to objectionable NYS agency-sponsored bill(s) or bill(s) language.
  4. To interface with other organizations, such as the APA, NFA and PGI in pursuit of common New York State legislative objectives and goals.
