January 22, 2009: DOL Working Group Meeting

NYSPC members and other pyrotechnic representatives attended a meeting held by the DOL Working Group (who also describe their group as the New York State Fireworks Association, or NYSFA) at the Best Western Sovereign Hotel, Albany, NY. The purpose of the meeting, as described by the DOL WG members, was to "... to solicit industry feedback regarding the proposed DoL bill incorporated in the Governors Budget Bill." December 3, 2008: NYS pyro industry meeting

NYSPC representatives C. Dunnam and D. Sternglass met in Victor, NY Wednesday, December 3rd for an informal NYS pyro industry dinner meeting with several pyrotechnics business owners, two of whom and one other individual in attendance are on the DOL (Code Rule 39) Working Group. Dinner attendees were K. Frischler (American Fireworks/Utica), J. Young (Young Explosives/Rochester), R. Sporyz and W. Minnich (both WNYPA). See Meeting 20081203 Summary for details.

March 25, 2008: Pyro-friendly bill introduced by Senator G. Winner in NYS Senate.
